How we handle your data and guest sessions
1. Data We Collect
PriceGuessr values your privacy. For anonymous players, we only generate a local guest token stored in your browser to remember preferences (currency, language, theme) and running scores.
If you opt to sign in (via OAuth providers such as Google or Discord), we store your user ID, display name, avatar, and email to maintain your game profile across devices.
2. Game Statistics
To power public profiles and leaderboards, we record your guess history, total points, streak counters, daily challenge attempts, and multiplayer match outcomes.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We strictly use essential cookies and browser localStorage for core functionality (session state, theme preferences, currency choice). We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
4. Service Infrastructure
Our application relies on Supabase for secure database operations and Vercel for web hosting. Exchange rates are fetched from the European Central Bank (ECB). We never sell your personal information.
5. Your Rights & Data Deletion
You can clear your local guest session at any time via browser settings. If you wish to delete your linked account and associated game statistics, you may request full data removal by contacting us.
